Position Summary:
The Program Manager role in Commercial Operations is in a critical position that connects all parts of the commercial organization, from Sales, Marketing to Service & Support, and all other functions as needed.

In this role, you will find yourself managing China’s contribution to global projects that affect our Sales and Marketing teams, how we handle our international supply chain and how we implement new infrastructure. You’ll also find yourself managing local projects, from how we implement our business operations and how we manage our local Supply Chain.

If you are going to be a successful candidate, you will be someone recognized for keeping international projects on schedule, making sure that stakeholders are both informed and involved, while making sure we effectively address their requests and concerns.

Responsibilities:
?Manage projects to ensure that completion is consistent with stakeholder needs
?Develop project plans and adjust as stakeholder needs are explored and clarified
?Use existing internal resources as much as possible to be as cost efficient as possible
?Share information within and across groups in the company to make sure that every project is well understood and the project goals accurately reflect stakeholder needs
?Resolve interpersonal conflicts professionally
?Identify risks to project success and management and stakeholders early to avoid failure
?When necessary, make recommendations for additional resources (for example headcount, consultants, funding) while clearly identify the risks, and always aim to keep within budget
?Make suggestions and challenge stakeholder opinions, based on your personal experience, on the best way to resolve business challenges
?Find ways to keep moving forward, not being discouraged by delays or obstacles in your path
?Think strategically from the point of view of the company, not just the stakeholders involved in the project, and look for opportunities to improve the Illumina business
?Act as a role model for positive attitude and creative problem solving
?Encourage teamwork across the organizations

Preferred Experience and Skills:
?History of project management in a large international company is mandatory
?Fluency in Mandarin/Simplified Chinese and English is mandatory
?Demonstrated understanding on Project Management principles, such as Agile, Scrum, or PRINCE2

Preferred Education and Training:
?Certifications in project management required. Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Scrum Master (CSM) or others.
?Bachelor’s Degree or higher required.
