PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Plans, supports, and implements supplier quality assurance programs and supplier development in conjunction with Purchasing Department to improve the cost, quality and delivery of products purchased by Autocam.

MANAGEMENT BY ****IVES

Each year Supplier Development / Quality Engineer will coordinate, with the Purchasing Manager, the specific results, improvements, or accomplishments required to support Autocam ****ives. The Supplier Quality Engineer will support the Autocam Quality Management System.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports the Autocam Quality System. Formulates and/or assists in formulating customer focused internal and external supplier quality control policies and procedures.

****uates new and existing suppliers. Drives incoming material quality by the ****uation and audit of supplier, processes, and/or systems performance and provides suggestions for improvement.

Develops and maintains continuous supplier performance improvement. Works with Buyers to actively drive continuous improvement in the quality of purchased material and outsourced process quality.

Supports engineering and technical teams. Participates in supplier planning during launch phase of new products. Establishes and aligns supplier APQP and PPAP deliverables with product development and launch activities.

Participates as Purchasing Team Member. Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of supply management programs, polices and concepts.

Promotes effective purcahsing department relations. Actively looks for ways to develop cooperative relationships between Purchasing and other key functional areas.

Performs other duties as necessary in support of business ****ives. This position de****ion is intended to guide the activities of the Supplier Development / Quality Engineer.
