SUMMARY:Responsible to assure the effective utilization of equipment and materials with an ****ive of maximizing production output while maintaining safety, quality and cost standards. This hands-on position will support ongoing manufacturing with a strong emphasis on implementing and sustaining lean process improvements, ensuring process capability, and process repeatability. Serves as an internal quality analyst for solving quality issues to ensure consistent high value with the company’s product and installation. ESSENTIAL TASKS & DUTIES: ?Develop, ****uate, implement, improve and document manufacturing equipment, tooling and processes.?Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing techniques and training on the shop floor.?****uate, rework and reject levels for design, process, and training improvement opportunities. ?Implement process and product improvements resulting in a positive impact on production cycle time, product costs and product quality.?Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for optimum efficiency and safety.?Confer with management, engineering and other team members regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.?Develop and ****uate equipment and processes to produce a high-quality product at a competitive cost for improvements in current processes ?Facilitate the development of corrective **** plans to resolve internal quality or delivery issues.?Lead, prepare, and train personnel for ISO, ATEX/IECEx, CCC, or any regulatory & customer audits. ?Conduct annual supplier audits, review supplier performance, and take ownership of corrective ****s.?Ensure Quality Management System (QMS) is up to date by routinely reviewing assembly instructions, in-process inspection, and other relevant documentation.?Provide technical direction, and training for operators performing detailed process steps to ensure that production assemblers, testers, inspectors, and support staff have necessary skills, appropriate documentation, tooling and process control capability.?Work in assembly cell and performing testing/calibration as needed to support production load.?Works closely with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, R&D and Marketing in the following functions: oLead Continuous Process Improvement activities (Ex: Inhouse & Vendor Scrap reduction).oImproving the Customer PPM.oBe in touch with current and future trends in Quality and Process Improvement in industry and adapt as necessary. ?Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.?Over-time as required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: ?2 year Engineer Tech degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering preferred) or equivalent work experience.?Minimum 5 year experience with manufacturing and/or quality processes. Auditor experience is a plus.?Excellent oral and written communication skills.?Proven teamwork ability.?Hands-on experience with maintenance & sustaining Process.?Knowledgeable of electrical assemblies and systems with capability to diagnose issues in electrical systems from PCBAs to signal interruptions, loss, or variations in multiple connection systems. Capable of working at completed assembly process in systems as well as understanding and working with suppliers at component level manufacturing. Familiar with software coding language and capable of diagnosing with limited training in software?The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
