Position: Technology Integration and Innovation Coach Assigned: Whole School Band: Teacher Reports to: Director of Technology Integration and Innovation (DTII) Primary Job Purpose: A passionate Technology Integration and Innovation Coach to empower our staff and students through purposeful and effective use of technology. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with teachers to co-plan and co-teach learning experiences that **** digital tools and skills aligned with the ISTE Standards. This role plays a key part in supporting our school community in developing their technology skills and driving our growth toward a more innovative, future-focused approach to teaching and learning. IDEAL CANDIDATE: Degree from a recognized and accredited university, preferably in educational technology field. Significant and exceptional experience in a similar role (technology integrator, digital coach, innovation leader, etc.) in international school settings. Deep understanding of ISTE Standards for Students and Educators. Self-motivated with interpersonal skills such as open-minded collaborator and effective communicator. Confident with a wide variety of digital tools, learning platforms, creative applications and innovative approaches to enhance teaching and learning. Strong coaching skills, able to inspire and support teachers and students at varying comfort levels with technology. Experience in front-end web development, app-prototyping tools, and teaching computer programming. Experience in teaching VEX Robotics and in coaching teams for robotics championships. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaboration, Planning & Co-Teaching Collaborate with the DTII to effectively integrate technology in ways that enhance teaching and learning across the school. Collaborate with teachers to design, implement, and reflect on technology-enhanced learning experiences across all grade levels and subjects. Co-teach in classrooms to model effective integration of technology and help students to become empowered lifelong learners, effective communicators, complex thinkers and global collaborators. Professional Development Provide practical, ongoing professional learning through workshops, coaching sessions, team meetings, and just-in-time support. Assist DTII in identifying staff needs and building digital capacity across the faculty. Promote opportunities for students and faculty to share and learn from each other, other schools and individuals outside AXIS. Curriculum & Standards Alignment Ensure learning engagements are aligned with the ISTE Standards and support the school’s curriculum goals. Document technology-integrated learning experiences and contribute to the development of a K–12 digital skills scope and sequence. Assist DTII in ****uating the effectiveness of technology integration and innovation. Digital Tools & Sub****ions Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the digital platforms and tools used by AXIS. Support effective use and maintenance of platforms such as Toddle, Microsoft 365, etc. Assist DTII in implementation and optimization of digital learning platforms and educational technology sub****ions. Leadership & Innovation Promote creative use of AI tools by students and staff to inspire innovation, enhance learning experiences and workflows, while upholding ethical standards, digital responsibility, and academic integrity. Promote digital citizenship, computational thinking / coding, and innovative practices. Remain current with emerging educational technology trends and share best practices within the learning community. Assist DTII with the implementation and review of AXIS Dynamic Technology Plan and school’s vision of technology teaching and learning. Offer technology related after school activities. (VEX robotics, web / app development, AI use in coding, etc.) Assist DTII with hosting events such as “Hour of Code”, creating partnerships such as becoming “Apple Distinguished School” and promoting department work through school’s official marketing channels. Additional Responsibilities Be a flexible and proactive contributor to school-wide initiatives where technology can enhance student learning and staff workflows. Perform other related tasks as assigned by the DTII or SLT. Develop or support small-scale web or mobile applications to streamline school processes and enhance digital workflows (e.g. sign-up systems, data dashboards, feedback forms).
